If you were to shoot Frank Zappa with a horse tranquilizer and put him in a blender with Hiatus Kaiyote, The Barenaked Ladies, and three lemons, you would get Dov Beck-Levine, and probably arrested. The Toronto-born artist and his 4-7 piece band (rhythm, 1-3 horns) leads crowds in playful, high-energy sets that radiate pure joy. Absurdist concepts, witty lyricism, dazzling musicality, and danceable hooks converge, creating a unique sound that Dov affectionately calls “Feel-Good Fusion”.

In June of 2024 Dov released his first LP, Eggs Don’t Ride Bikes, a joyous 15-track powerhouse four years in the making. Still a fresh NYC resident, he made a splash celebrating the release by playing his debut show in the city to a sold out Arlene’s Grocery (6/29). With the excitement generated by that show in his back pocket, Dov continued to create buzz, releasing a standalone single called The Warlock Song on Halloween. Dov’s next project, a soul-focused EP, is set to release in Spring 2025. The first single will be punctuated by a Friday night set at local favourite, Nublu (02/21/2025), where he’ll share a bill with NYC mainstays simmerr and Shef’s Kiss.
